Just finished some updates on the site. We've got new videos, internet links, new music, and some hoo ha! Can't not have Hoo Ha, right? But Byrne, where can we see you? What's your latest thing? Hey, thanks for asking!

My latest project is called "Hollywood Byrne," an ongoing webisode series on YouTube. It's from the brilliant mind of Mark McCracken and I play the character of Byrne. Kind of a stretch but I pull it off I think.

I also did a gangsta rap video playing Warren Jeffs of the FLDS. Now that wasn't a stretch...cuz I'm gangsta. And finally, I recorded my first comedy album! Well, it's not just me but a whole crew of highly talented comedians brought together under one roof for the premiere album of Irrational Public Radio.

Check the link in Hoo Ha. And buy the album! Daddy needs a new pair of shoes.y needs a new pair of shoes.

Wow, has it been this long since I updated the news section? Apparently, I'm lazy. Let's see, there's a few things to tell you. Recently I shot a part in the soon to be released movie "SUPERHERO MOVIE" Check it out
HERE

I also shot an episode of "Notes From The Underbelly." Check it out here. I played the very irritable neighbor of Michael Weaver and the part absolutely rocked. I love playing angry people. Does that say something about me? Anyway, I think the show might have been canceled during the strike so I am hoping that my episode airs. What a business huh?

"Bob & Byrne" is doing great. We keep releasing madness and people seem to be responding. We've had about 10 million views so far. That's a lot of people to disturb. Our latest video actually has a cameo from the Pope. Can you believe we have that kind of pull? In promotional news, we were contacted recently by the Canadian TV show,
"Torrent" They want to interview us which I guess would be the first time we would have to explain ourselves. Huh. I'll let you know when it airs, where to see it, etc.

Also, my Lazy Boy ad is still airing.  You know you want to buy one.

Hey kids!

What a year. A lot has happened but I’ll keep it brief. I know you’re busy. I’ve left The Monkey Box. But I have a new project called Bob & Byrne. We produce comedy shorts for the internet. It’s been going unbelievably well. We’re playing on over 50 websites worldwide, we’ve had over five million views in our first year, and at this point we’ve had three TV offers.

So needless to say it’s been a helluva trip. That is partly the reason I’ve been remiss on keeping this website updated. I HAVE ANOTHER WEBSITE NOW! Go to BobandByrne.com Hopefully sometime in the near future I will begin adding my B&B stuff to byrneoffutt.com as well. But for the time being if you want to see the new videos we release ALL THE TIME you’ll have to visit that site.

In other news, currently I have four commercials airing for AT&T. I play one of the, oh so friendly, operators. I also have commercials for Highmark, Amica, and Lazyboy. And on August 28th, 2007 Medal of Honor, Airborne gets released. My character’s name is Chalmers and I kick some major ass. So if you’re into video games you should check it out. I’ve seen rough cuts of the game and it rocks!

If you wanna keep up with my latest updates friend request me on

Hello,

My name is Byrne. And here's the latest news. I've posted two new clips in the "Theatrical" section of the videos. One is from a "60 Minutes" parody I did recently. It was directed by the ever talented Rob Moniot. He was also the director of Pearl Harbor 2, a short film I did some time ago. The other clip is my scene from a feature film called "Murder On The Yellow Brick Road."

I've mentioned it here before and there's a movie poster link in the Hoo Ha section. From what I understand, it's about to get a distribution deal so I'll keep you informed on that. If you're going to be in Los Angeles in August you can catch the movie at the Laemmle Theatre in Beverly Hills starting August 11th. Here's a link with all the info if you're interested.

A far as what I have airing right now, I have a Southwest Airlines commercial out there as well as ones for Wal-Mart, Amica Insurance, and Mercedes. So keep an eye out. I know how much you all love commercials, right?

My Podcast, "The Monkey Box" is going great. We're up to about 700 downloads per show. And I think something like 10,000 people have listened to the show in total at this point. Damn! And we just started! The link to the show is below. Subscribe to it! It's free! And it's sick. So beware, because we take no prisoners.

And lastly I have fallen into the MySpace trap that seems to be taking over the world. I am sorta using my MySpace page as a secondary website. You can find video clips there that I haven't put up on my website as well as breaking news in my career. I usually use the blog to let people know what's happening RIGHT NOW. I also post pics and update them regularly. Here's the
link.

That's all I got. Chow!

Hello from beautiful sunny California,

Great news in Byrne land! First off, just shot a commercial for Mercedes Benz. And I'm stoked! Cuz the car rocks! It'll run nationally and should pay pretty well. Speaking of pay, I asked if they would pay me in "car" but they didn't seem interested.

The other night we had a screening of a feature film I'm in called, "Trust Me." Here's the link if you wanna check out
the website. It was so much fun! Lot of kudos and pats on the back and that always makes an actor feel good. And you know what? It was the first time I was actually able to watch myself and enjoy it. I'll keep you updated on the movie; when it's coming out, where you can see it, etc.

There's also going to be a new addition to my website! The Monkey Box! It's a comedy group I'm in and we're launching a podcast! We go live May 15th with the show as well as the webpage. Here's
the link. We'll be broadcasting every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday with a 10 minute show. But be warned, we can get pretty randy on occasion. Let's just call us "R" rated.

If you don't know how podcasts work, you subscribe to the show and it's sent directly to your computer for you to listen to at your leisure. It's free and it's easy. You can download it on your ipod and take it with you in the car or jogging or whatever. But if you don't wanna do that, you will also be able to listen to the shows on our website. It's gonna be a great show. So I hope you tune in. I'll be linking in through the voice over section of this site eventually.

That's all for now. See you on the flip side....what the hell does that mean anyway?

Today I recorded a couple of radio ads for Direct TV. If any of you kids live in the West Palm Beach area of Miami you'll be hearing it. In fact, I don't think you'll be able to miss it. In the spots I play "Rufus the alligator wrestler." I'm being interviewed by the Direct TV guy as I wrestle gators! (A 9 footer and a 14 footer specifically) I had so much fun doing this voice, I kept laughing between takes. As far as what they wanted, let's just say it was a close match to Bomhauer on King of the Hill. I have a habit of booking characters like that cuz of my roots. See, they're good for something!

I actually know people who talk like that for real. So it was an easy job today. The producer told me the reason they booked me was that I sounded "authentic." Little does he know....

Hey kids,

Lots of news in the city of angels...wait I meant to say city of angles. Yeah, that's it. First off, I've heard that some of you wanted to see the full length versions of "Dancing Cow" and "Pearl Harbor II." Your wish is my command. If you go to the Hoo Ha section of this website and click on the movie posters, you will be directed to the websites of those movies. Once there you can watch the entire movie. But you really need a high speed modem because there's a lot of bandwidth.

Secondly, I have posted new clips! There's my new Wal-Mart clip in the commercial section. And in the theatrical section I have 3 new scenes from the pilot I did for NBC last year called "The Weekend." I also posted a couple of very old clips. You won't believe it but I actually did an episode of "Charles in Charge" the third week of me moving to LA. Yeah, I got started early. And man oh man, you can hear that accent! I also put up a clip from a pilot I did many years ago called "The Wanderers." It was a travel show for kids. The piece is called "Moments in History" and was going to be a recurring thing in the show.

I recorded a radio ad for Baskin Robbins recently. And there's an interesting story to go along with it. When I walked into the booth, who should be there but Billy West! If you don't know, he's the voice of pretty much everything, starting with Ren and Stimpy , all the way to Futurama. Here's more info about him if you're interested.

What a great guy. Very fun to hang with and a total pro. Had me laughing the whole time. I barely got any work done!

That's it for now. Please remember, my love for you knows no bounds...And I mean that in a sick way.

Hey kiddos,

Booked a commercial today for Doubletree Inn. Very good way to start off 2006. In the spot I play a business man watching a butterfly from his car. Whew. That's gonna be a tough one. They're making me wear a suit.

Yo what up homie?

I posted 2 clips from my latest gig under the theatrical clips section. It's from my E-Ring episode. I wanted to prove to you that's it's not all comedy here at byrneoffutt.com. Sometimes we're very, very, serious. Other times we're sad. Hell, we can even be mad. So shut up. No you shut up. No you. You! You shut up! You shut up! Do it! Shut it-shut it-shut it-shut it-infinity! Ha ha, got ya!

Hey kiddos!

New stuff! I just posted my "Southwest Airlines" commercial and a clip from "Center of the Universe." I think they came out pretty good. What do you think? ...Really? Well, I wouldn't actually say that. Well, no. I just mean that it seems kinda cruel to put me down on my own website, that's all. What? Yes I know it's a free country. Fine. Then be that way. See if I ever ask your opinion again.

Where was I? Oh yeah. I've also included a link to the "Murder on the Yellow Brick Road" website. Just click on the movie poster in the Hoo Ha section to learn more about this fascinating little film.

Here's another quote for you. Learn it. Love it. Live it.

November 21, 2005

I finally got word on the premiere of “Murder on the Yellow Brick Road.” It’s going to be held at Raleigh Studios in the Chaplain Theatre on December 12th. I spoke with one of the producers recently and he said that it’s already sold! There is distribution, which means this will be the first feature film I’m in that you can rent at your local Blockbuster. It is very film noir and not for everybody. And you could even call it “artsy.” But it was big fun to do as I play a murder suspect.

In other news, my episode of E-Ring will be airing December 7th at 8:00 pm on NBC. (Check your local listings). And the commercial I shot for Wal-Mart should start airing around the Holidays as well.

Hello my little Byrnabies!

Well the train keeps on a chuggin’. Booked another commercial, this one for Wal-Mart. We shot yesterday. A very long yesterday. Great commercial though. This one’s about a guy who gets fired. As he’s driving home, his truck blows up. He has to walk. At home he calls his faithful dog over for some comfort. The dog runs down the street. The man goes inside where he finds a Dear John letter from his wife. She’s had an affair with the neighbor and left him. At this point he starts to break down but he notices that she took the TV. So the next shot we see him smiling with his brand new big screen TV, recently purchased from Wal-Mart. And his dog’s come back! Oh, I loved shooting this one, as you might imagine. Now I have to apologize for falling behind on the clips and sound file updates. You cannot imagine what a pain in the heiny it is to get copies of these things. But for you I will persevere. I leave you with a quote. Please have it memorized by the next class.

November 01, 2005

Hello people of the world wide web.

Greetings to you from Byrne-Land! It's nice and warm here. Or should I say hot? Yesterday we got up into the eighties! Now that'll melt your Halloween make-up right off your face. My costume was the best though. I went around as "Loser Guy Who Didn't Have Any Plans." Of course I never left my house. But I did walk around with one of those plastic pumpkin buckets filled with beer.

So here's the news. Supposedly....and I say that with the up most supposed...."Murder On The Yellow Brick Road" is finished. Now I've heard that before so I don't know if it's true. But I did get a call saying there would be a premiere soon. I will keep you informed as I get more info.

In other news, we wrapped up the second season of W.I.T.C.H. recently. They threw a little party for us at the studio when we finished. It was fun. You can't quite imagine what a party filled with animation voice-over actors sounds like. I would compare it to a bad acid trip. Not that I would know, of course. At the party, one of the sound engineers had a CD of fun stuff from the season. And my rendition of "Itsy Bitsy Spider" as Uriah was on it! Funny. I am still working on getting a copy.

And lastly, yesterday I shot an episode of E-Ring. Yes, I worked on Halloween. 6:00 am call time thank you very much. While in my trailer, there was a knock on the door. When I opened it, a skeleton was standing there holding my wardrobe. I jumped, then thanked him, as I gingerly took my suit. Shooting was a surreal experience. Many of the crew had Halloween costumes on. And of course the actors were all dressed as military. It looked like the video game, Doom. I played the head of Human Affairs at the Department of Defense. It was a good part. My scenes were with Kelly Rutherford, and that didn't suck. She was very nice...and so, so hot. As a matter of fact, the other actress in our scenes was also hot. Me and two hot blondes all day. Tough job. The episode will air sometime around Christmas. I'll let you know.

Stay hungry, Stay foolish.

Last week I shot an episode of N.C.I.S. And I got to play a bad guy. This seems to be a recurring theme for me lately. Should I be worried? In the show I play a civil war re-enactor who’s a murder suspect. They had hired a bunch of authentic civil war re-enactors and I spent most of my time talking to them. Everything these guys carry is authentic, from their rifle, to their sleeping bags. I was fascinated by how little the soldiers of the civil war carried into battle. These guys really lived off the land.

The cast of N.C.I.S. were the nicest people I have worked with. Mark Harmon has to be the classiest actor on TV. In one of my scenes I am handcuffed face down in the grass after he’s tackled me. As they were setting up the shot he tore a bunch of grass up and actually made a pillow for my head! That is a perfect example of what a great “host” this guy was. Much respect.

My episode is called “The Silver War.” And the air date is October 11th, 2005.

July 18th, 2005

Hey Kids,

I found out that NBC didn’t pick up "The Weekend." But apparently they’re still hot on it and trying to sell to another network. On a brighter note, the premiere for “Murder on the Yellow Brick Road” is going to be in the next couple of weeks. You can check out the movie poster in the Hoo Ha section.

Last week I shot another feature film called "Trust Me." I play a news director on the verge of a nervous breakdown. And let me tell ya, it's gonna be funny...trust me.

And lastly, this coming Friday we're recording and episode of W.I.T.C.H. where my character "Uriah" sings a punked out version of Itsy Bitsy Spider! Man I can't wait. I'm going to beg them for a copy to post in the music section.

Well, that's all for now. Have a safe and happy Christmas. And remember, "stressed" spelled backwards is "desserts."

March 27, 2005:

Hey kids! Well, I think I’m finished. I’m done. That’s it. It’s over. No more. This website is "fin." Obviously, as I get more work I’ll keep posting it here. And the poetry thing will never stop, of course. But for now I must say adieu. Parting is such sweet sorrow. And everybody likes sweets, right?

I will eventually have a link up here for Sgt. Pickery’s Mechanica Wonderfra’s new show. And let me tell you, we are in the heat of it right now. Or should I say we’re in heat? No heat of it is better. The creative juices are just flowing. And damn, they’re hard to clean up. They just flow and flow and flow. We’re all wet from it….okay I’m done.

Can you tell I don’t want to leave? I’ll shut up now.

Byrne (Burn)

Shows I have currently airing or soon to be released:
(I'll include schedules when available)

At the present time you can catch me on the cartoon, W.I.T.C.H. I play the high school bully Uriah as well as the father of one of the girls.

W.I.T.C.H. SCHEDULE
Saturdays, 9:30 AM on ABC Family
Saturdays, 11:00 AM on ABC
Mondays, 8:30 PM on Toon Disney

I'm also on the show "Significant Others" on Bravo. No schedule for that one. I think they just throw them up whenever they feel like it. It is Bravo after all. I play Dave, one of Bill's best friends.

I have two commercials airing. One is Olay, where I play a plastic surgeon in a model's nightmare. And the other is for Chrysler. In that one I am one of the drivers of the new 2005 Chrysler 300. They air those whenever they damn feel like it, so shut up!

I also played several characters on two new video games (soon to be released). The games are Hitman 4 and Kameo. They'll come out for PS2 and/or XBox. Hitman is a waay cool game. I play a bunch of damn rednecks that get blown away. Yee Haw!

And finally, I just shot a pilot for NBC called "The Weekend." It's a half hour unscripted comedy about three families that live next door to each other and what takes place over the weekend in the neighborhood. I am the father/husband in one of the families. As of last week, they have locked picture and currently, NBC is focus group testing it. Hopefully it will do well. My understanding is we won't know if it's bought until April! AH!

It was a blast to shoot. I love working in the Improv format. The cast and crew were unbelievably talented and the whole thing felt like a big family get together...which makes sense for the show, I guess. Mark my words, Fred Goss, the creator of the show is going to be very big in the TV industry in the next few years. F.Y.I. Fred plays Bill in Significant Others.

And lastly there are rumors, unsubstantiated of course, that Sgt. Pickery's Mechanica Wonderfra  is reforming. I'll let you know as I get more information. But keep it on the down low. We wouldn't want the others to find out.

So that's all for now. Enjoy the site. Eat an apple a day. And never, ever skimp on shoes or bed mattresses.
